Föreliggande rapport syftar till att utreda om det är ekonomiskt möjligt och miljömässigt intressant att införa ett retursystem för lastbärare till arkade produkter hos MoDo paper Silverdalen. Bakgrunden är att MoDo paper Silverdalen vill minska skadefrekvensen och öka staplingsbarheten under transport, genom att införa ett returemballage. Ett retursystem skulle också gynna företagets miljöframtoning.Genom studiebesök och intervjuer på Silverdalsbruket, hos grossister och tryckerier har vi funnit att skadefrekvensen för Silverdalsbrukets produkter är låg och inte uppfattas som något allvarligt problem i något av dessa led.De vanligaste skadorna är:? Ett mindre antal skadade ark i stapelns topp och botten, beroende på frakt och emballeringsmetod.? Små hål i krympfilmen, orsakade av omild hantering.? En eller flera av pallens medar har lossnat eller vikt sig under palldäcket, vilket medför ökade hanteringskostnader.? Förskjuten eller havererad arkstapel, p.g.a. problem med pallens medar eller att godset utsatts för en kraftig stöt, som orsakar ökade hanteringskostnader eller kassation.Skadeeffekterna kan ofta minskas genom omstapling eller genom att skära ner arken i storlek.

The purpose of this Master's thesis is to find possible explanations of variation in light scattering in a fine paper. Samples were collected from each second tambour during a time period of two weeks from a paper machine at MoDo Paper, Husum. Two data sets, consisting of 20 and 95 observations, were selected for extensive analysises of tensile and structual properties. The data was evaluated with multivariate data techniques using the programs Simca and Extract. The results of PCA- and PLS- analysises pointed out 3 of 52 variables as important for the variations in light scattering.

Bakgrund: MoDo Skog upplever idag att deras ekonomistyrning i allt för hög utsträckning fokuserar kostnader, framförallt kostnader som förknippas med avverkning samt transport av råvara. Som ett led i denna kostnads-fokusering har MoDo Skog en misstanke om att det förekommer suboptimeringar inom virkesflödesprocessen. Före-taget upplever dessutom att de är dåliga på att mäta och följa upp så kallade mjuka faktorer.Syfte: Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är att kartlägga en virkesflödesprocess och därefter undersökaförutsättningarna att utarbeta ett Balanced Scorecard med funktionella nyckeltal. Avgränsningar: Arbetet inom fallföretaget begränsas till att gälla virkesflödesprocessen från avverkning till dess att råvaran kommer till industrin på Iggesundsregionen. Vi beaktar endast de avverkningar som sker på fallföretagets eg-na marker.Genomförande: Studien har genomförts på fallföretagets region Iggesund.

The purpose of this paper was, on the basis of the association?s annual reports, to describe appropriate key performance indicators for non-profit associations. The purpose was furthermore to study how the associations show their goal-attainment. The research was delimited to contain the second category of non profit associations, which include sports associations. The authors choose three non profit associations, which according to the law, shall draw up annual reports. The three ice hockey associations HV71, MODO Hockey and Frölunda Hockey Club, were thereafter chosen on the basis of those delimits.

A baggy paper web has parts that are longer than neighboring parts. One of the assumed reasons for bagginess is thickness variations of the paper. In the roll the thicker streaks then add up to form a ridge. In the ridges the paper is strained and during storage the strain may become permanent. When the paper unreeled it is then baggy.

The technical development is advancing at high speed and now the turn has come for the traditional paper to digitalize into the so called e-paper. The newspaper industry has started to investigate the future possibilities of publishing the traditional newspapers on e-paper. Today?s newspapers are mostly financed by advertisement incomes, which makes the advertisers important players, who must be taken into consideration at an introduction of the e-paper. Since the e-paper does not exist as a finished product in the market today, in this essay we look into what kind of functions or services that can attract advertisers to the e-paper on the basis of the experiences made with the breakthrough of the web-newspapers.

Six different Digital Proofing Systems from three different techniques have been evaluated as totechnique, printing quality, economy and usability. Digital proof from two paper qualities, coatedand uncoated, has been compared with references printed in offset, to see how good they match eachother. Only two Proofing Systems manage to print on reference paper. The other Proofing Systemsuse special paper for digital proof.Measurements and visuell judgement show that the Digital Proofing Systems visualise referencepictures with quite good quality. Proof optimised for coated paper visualise the colours with goodresult.

Det är viktigt att kommunikationen utvecklas i takt med att organisationen expanderar. En stor organisation kräver mer än möten och personliga kontakter för att alla ska bli involverade i organisationen. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur ett intranät kan utvecklas för att gynna samtliga inom en organisation, med fokus på medarbetarna. Genom att studera teori kring ämnet skapades en grund för att kunna utföra en fallstudie vid organisationen Modo Hockey i Örnsköldsvik.
